Welcome to the Lodge

After your hunt, you’ll return to the comforts of Cory and Mylisia’s own home.

Built in 2009 on family land, the West Lodge offers comfortable sleeping accommodations, two full baths, delicious meals and fun for all.

If you decide to choose the meal option with lodging, you can expect three home-cooked meals a day, with treats and surprises thrown in the mix.

  • The lodge offers:

    1. Main Sleeping Room - Open, dormitory-style - 6 twin beds and a futon if needed. Sleeps 8.

    2. Couples Room with a king-sized bed. Sleeps up to 2.

    3. Couples or Family Room with a double bed and a twin. Sleeps up to 4.

  • The lodge offers:

    Two full bathrooms with showers.

  • Drawing from her years in the restaurant business, Mylisia is the head cook at WWH. If you choose her meal option, expect 3 home-cooked meals a day with surprises thrown in.

    Mylisia likes to bring a mix of Midwest and Southern cooking to the table with steak, cornbread, ribs, corn on the cob and the best in deserts.

    Cory is not too shabby on the grill, either. Ask him about his bacon wrapped, stuffed dove jalapeño poppers!

  • We have 4 hunting dogs for your use. If you bring your own, we have a kennel space for use, or they could bunk with you.

  • Evenings are often spent around a fire-pit, watching TV, playing cards or enjoying your favorite drink.

    If you want to do some sight-seeing, head into town and check out Greensburg. Made famous by the recovery from the 2007 EF5 tornado, this town reflects what it is to be a steward of the land. Wind turbines, geo-thermal energy and water collection systems are something to see. There are also restaurants, a swimming pool and a movie theatre, if you feel like something different.

    You’re also a stone’s throw from Dodge City (to the West) and Wichita (to the East). But don’t worry, you’ll be busy on the trail.

    Fees -

    - 50% of total cost within 7 days of booking.

    - 50% upon arrival.

    - Deposit is non refundable (we are glad to work with you to reschedule with two weeks notice).

Wild West Hunts is situated just South of Hwy 54, and between two country towns; Greensburg and Haviland.

Wild bird and game hunting on over 2,000 acres of beautiful Kansas grass and crop ground.

Cory and Mylisia

Reunited in 2017, Cory and Mylisia immediately started dreaming of the life they always wanted. Country air, wide open space, great food, great family and a house full of friends.

Cory grew up on his parent’s farm, just 1.5 miles away and has been farming since he could touch the pedals. For the past 25 years, he has been a hunting guide for both the family farm, and spent 5 of those years as a top guide for a local hunting lodge.

Mylisia grew up in the center of Greensburg and though she’s traveled a great deal, home kept calling. She’s spent her life serving the public, managing businesses and running restaurants.

These two are a perfect combination to make your stay an incredible experience.
